UFCW Local 5's
political department is gearing up for the 2008 general
election and your participation is requested. Electing
candidates who will do the right thing for working
people requires that we all do our part. Walking
precincts, making phone calls to fellow members,
attending rallies and getting out the vote are all
crucial activities in electing pro-worker candidates. A
pro-union political environment is key to building
stronger contracts, improving working conditions and
bringing new members into Local 5.
